The Klutz Build-a-Book Program is a totally tested, totally fun in-school event where students and their parents turn a blank Klutz book and some simple craft materials into a priceless family treasure. It's a celebration of literacy, arts and crafts and family togetherness and it will be the best family event of the year. Guaranteed.

Who is it right for? Any grade, anybody. From kindergartners to seniors. The program has been used for every possible student, for every possible subject, for every possible occasion.

Why Klutz-style books? Because building them is multi-dimensional, multi-sensory, multi-wowie fun! Handcrafted Klutz Build-a-Books are a blend of literacy and arts and crafts. It's a learner's paradise.

Topic? Curriculum-based or free choice. State standards or home-made fun. It's up to you. See printables for additional suggestions.

How does an event work? Parents are invited to come to school to build a book with their kids.

What does Klutz make available?

Build-a-Book Little Kits (Perfect Event Size) $6.49 each.
Build-a-Book Big Kits (Ideal Classroom Size) $10 each.
Build-a-Book Event Kit (just $15) with all the materials you need to promote your event: Chairperson's Handbook (including a reproducible event invitation), DVD, front office display, poster and banner. It's a piece of cake!

Who runs it? A volunteer or two to get the word out, monitor the event and cheerlead. Minimal effort, maximum results.
