Shrinky Dinks
September 20th, 1pm-2pm(ages 8+)
We love Shrinky Dinks so much, we wrote the book on them - two books, in fact: The Shrinky Dinks Book and Shrinky Art Jewelry. Find out what all the fuss is about today as we shrink your art to make teeny tiny treasures. Sure they're dinky, but they're really big fun.

Potholders and Other Loopy Projects
October 11th, 1pm-2pm(ages 6+)
Get your hands on the hottest craft project around! The book Potholders and Other Loopy Projects comes with a snazzy weaving loom and oodles of stretchy cotton loops. Drop by this afternoon and together we’ll weave our way to potholder perfection.

Stencil Art
October 18th, 1pm-2pm(ages 8+)
Today, find out how easy it is to get “look-what-I-made” artwork with Stencil Art. The book comes with brilliant pigment inks, neat little foam-tipped dabbers, and cute stencil shapes – everything you need to make a world of beautifully colored creations. Join us this afternoon and dab-dab-dab your way to total artistic genius.

14th Annual Costume Contest
October 25th, 1pm-2pm(all ages)
Halloween is almost here! Get that get-up ready a few days early and head over to the store to give it a test run. Everyone in costume at 1:00 will get a treat – and the very best dressed will win prizes.

Crayon Rubbings
November 8th, 1pm-2pm(ages 4+)
What’s fun to color and goes bump-bump-bump? The Chicken Socks book Crayon Rubbings! Slide one of our special bumpy plates under a page and color away for a perfectly patterned picture. This afternoon, don’t just color with color – color with texture.

How to Make Pompom Animals
November 15th, 1pm-2pm(ages 4+)
Combine colorful pompoms, a couple of googly eyes and a drop or two of glue and what do you get? A pompom animal! Join us today and make yourself some perfectly puffy pets from the Chicken Socks book How to Make Pompom Animals. It’s going to be complete pomdemonium around here.

Picture Tags
November 22th, 1pm-2pm(ages 4+)
Pick a picture – any picture – and you can make it into a picture tag. The Klutz book Picture Tags comes with everything you need to make these cute dangly doodads, including blank tags, special glaze, glitter, gems, and hundreds of perfectly-sized pictures. Come by the store today and try your hand at creating perfectly charming charms.

The College Avenue Halloween Celebration!
On October 25th, our neighbors will be sharing the fun of Halloween, so be sure to check out what they’re doing, too.
We’ll have facepainting at Common Ground (across the street from our store) as well as pumpkin decorating at JJ&F’s Market (on the corner of El Camino and College Ave). Come join us for a day of Halloween events!
